On Sunday, the American Cancer Society threw their 37th Annual Diamond Ball, Thanks and Giving for a Brighter Future, at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park to continue their fight against the terrible disease affecting the lives of millions around the country.
The night was packed with supporters looking to party for a wonderful cause. Attendees were treated to gourmet cuisine, a DJ to keep the crowd dancing all night long and a fabulous auction with prizes like a signed football helmet from the San Francisco 49ers and much more!
The American Cancer Society, which just so happens to be the largest private, non-profit funder for cancer research in the United States, also honored the medical professionals striving to help those battling the disease everyday. Dr. Michele L. Donato, MD of Hackensack University Medical Center, who specializes in hematology and oncology, and Dr. Franz O. Smith, MD of Saint Barnabas Medical Center, who specializes in surgical oncology, were among the special guests being celebrated!
