Since the beginning of time, fashion has been used to express individuality and/or promote a message. This was true on Friday, when Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice used it to take a social stance against domestic violence.
The Paterson native shared a photo herself wearing an all-black ensemble along with other women in similar attire to support the Jersey Battered Women’s Service. The event was held at Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, a fan favorite of the entire RHONJ cast when it comes to restaurants in the Garden State.
“In black to black-out domestic violence. Looking forward to working with @karolinadehnhard who is on the Board of Directors of the#jerseybatteredwomensservices@lindajberger @suezbell68 @roxy311#stoptheviolence #enddomesticviolence#survivor #familyfirst #luv #nomore,” Teresa’s caption read on Instagram.
The Morris County based organization’s sole mission is to protect and empower those effected by domestic violence, offer rehabilitation services for family members in need, while also educating and spreading the word about the consequences and signs of the aggressive behavior. JBWS hopes to one day create a culture that will no longer tolerate these heinous acts.
Little details have been revealed about the upcoming project the mother of four is working on with JBWS, but we’re positive it will help toward the betterment of the cause.
