Before she became the powerhouse actress she is now, Lea Michele was a Tenafly teenager, and in a quick but empowering video posted on Instagram, the stylish actress, author and singer offered up some advice to her 15-year-old self (which could also apply to all of us no matter our age!) at The Hollywood Reporter Power 100 Women In Entertainment Event. In her concise but extremely wise statement, Lea advised her teen self, “Definitely don’t worry so much. You have to have faith that great things are to come and don’t stress. Don’t stress about your body, don’t stress about how you look. You should enjoy being young and being happy and it’s the best years of your life.”
Lea got her start in the acting business at a very young age, 8, when she was cast in Les Misérables on Broadway. She went on to perform in Ragtime in Toronto for a year before the show moved to Broadway, then she took some time off to enjoy regular life for a while. Lea told NorthJersey.com, “It was very important to me to try to have a couple of years uninterrupted and they were great. I loved growing up in Tenafly. I had a great high school experience, a great group of friends and I was on the debate team, I was on the volleyball team, so, for me, I look back at my high school experience quite fondly.”
It’s obvious that the choices she did make as a teen worked, setting her on the path to success she’s been steadily climbing ever since those early years. Check out how carefree and happy she looks as she prepares to hit the beach in one of her vast collection of stunning swimsuits:

She attended the wedding of fellow Glee alum Becca Tobin in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, sporting a stunning red dress.

And of course, the fitness queen got in a Pilates workout.
For those who love watching Lea on the small screen, stay tuned: she just filmed an episode of Scream Queens where she locks lips with John Stamos in what sounds like a steamy kissing scene. There’s certainly nothing to stress over when that’s part of your job!
