Fitness guru and booty selfie (“belfie”) queen Jen Selter stopped by Jersey City’s Holiday on Thursday for an exciting live body painting experience that left viewers speechless. In collaboration with the Liberty Science Center and their new Bodies Revealed exhibit, artist Danny Quirk painted a surreal image of the inside of a human’s back right onto Jen’s flesh.
The 23-year-old New York native, who currently shares her exercise tips and fashionable athleisure gear with more than 10 million followers, was a real trooper as she sat in the blistering cold for three hours while Danny worked his magic. Danny specializes in creating lifelike anatomy paintings which fit perfectly with the extraordinary exhibit.
While the curvy fitness model promotes healthy lifestyle choices and getting the most out of your workouts, the Liberty Science Center and Danny are looking to help inform guests about the importance each bone and muscle plays inside your body.
Attendees of the exhibition can expect “real human figures and organs that reveal the wonder and beauty of the human form. The exhibition shows detailed views of human anatomy, from whole body displays to individual skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, and circulatory systems. Unlike models that idealize the body through the eyes of an artist, this exhibition shows the body and its systems as they really exist, including natural variation,” according to the LibertyScienceCenter.com.
Be sure to visit the Bodies Revealed exhibit before it ends on January 16, 2017. In the meantime, check out more photos from the December 8 event and all the residents who cam out to view the painting in action:
