There’s nothing we love more than when the worlds of fashion and music collide! Blondie front-woman Debbie Harry has teamed up with Shepard Fairey, founder of the popular skateboarding brand OBEY, to bring fans an awesome women’s line for fall 2017. The Hawthorne native, who’s known for being a rock star with iconic style, is now making it possible for you to put your own personal spin on her creative fashion looks.

This collaboration doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, because Shepard has been a longtime fan of Debbie since he discovered the musical delights of the her band when he was a kid. According to WWD, his admiration for the singer continued to grow as years went on, holding her vocal talents, stylistic diversity and beauty to an extremely high standard.

“I’ve been a Blondie fan my whole life and have collaborated with them in the past, which has been a dream come true. But working with Debbie on this project has been totally inspiring,” Shepard told WWD last week. “She’s been very involved and hands-on for the whole process, just another display of her incredible talent.”

The idea to work together first came about two years ago when Shepard debuted a hoodie with a photo of the “Heart of Glass” singer on it with a zebra background. The street artist, widely known for creating the infamous ‘Hope’ poster for President Obama in 2008, had an instant best-seller on his hands with the Debbie Harry hoodie. In fact, the imprinted piece of clothing, which retailed for $75, ultimately sold out.

The new year is looking to be an exiting one for Shepard. Along with the premiere of his collaboration with Debbie, he will also be staging a huge solo project in Los Angeles and is also being honored at Art Wynwood in February with the Tony Goldman Lifetime Achievement Award for the remarkable influence his art career has had on the industry.

Details of what will be included in the upcoming women’s line has yet to be revealed, but we know it’s going to a collection to remember!
